HEALTH EQUITY TRACK
This track brings together those who wish to develop skills and strategies for addressing health inequities. Why are some populations at greater risk of illnesses and preventable deaths than others? Health disparities adversely impact groups of people who traditionally lack access to important health resources because of systemic discrimination and inequality based on social identifiers like age, gender, sexuality and race. It presents a deeper analysis and exploration of the causative factors that contribute to health disparities and what we can do about them.
Coordinators of this track are LeShonda Wallace and Joseph Conway.
