We believe the school-to-prison pipeline is one of the most pressing issues in education and in civil rights. Closing the school to prison pipeline will take a multidisciplinary approach to discussing this complex problem and to exploring potential solutions by asking important questions. What are the most pressing legislative challenges and opportunities to be addressed? How can we build political will in our communities to advance change? What are some positive examples of progress we can highlight? What unique challenges do southern communities face? This track includes the voices of those directly impacted by the system of mass incarceration.
